Tracking developments affecting U.S. importers of Chinese and Southeast Asian Goods.
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will start production of Mercedes-Benz cars with its joint venture partner Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Corp, by the end of 2005. It will be interesting to see if any other European car companies move their production lines to China to help minimize costs.
