Full Speed Ahead for Indonesia's Auto Industry

Indonesia's automotive is on the rise. The sales of the Indonesian cars are second to China's massive sales growth. ASEAN states have agreed to remove import duties altogether by 2010 for the five founding members of the grouping (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore) and by 2015, for new members Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar as well. Overall the Indonesian car industry is rising to power in sales and imports.
